XMOTIVE Wins “Best Technical Practice Award” at the Sixth Gasgoo Awards
On October 24, 2024, concurrent with the 1024 Programmer’s Day, the 6th Gasgoo Awards announced its winners. Axera’s Automotive BU (branded as “XMOTIVE”) was honored with the “2024 Best Technical Practice Award” for its innovative technological R&D capabilities in automotive chips and outstanding achievements in mass production deployment.
The award recognizes companies across the automotive supply chain that have made exceptional contributions to technological innovation and mass production implementation. XMOTIVE emerged victorious among more than 100 outstanding companies and their solutions, making this a highly prestigious achievement.
In terms of technological innovation, Axera’s proprietary AXProton AI-ISP technology features industry-leading sensor characteristic modeling capabilities, enabling optimal design for image processing. It leverages AI algorithms’ data-driven nature to achieve enhanced performance benefits. Additionally, Axera’s self-developed AXNeutron high-performance NPU (Neural Processing Unit) supports mixed-precision computing with low bit width and provides optimized operator instruction sets to meet evolving AI algorithm requirements.
Thanks to these two core proprietary IPs, XMOTIVE’s automotive chips possess unique advantages in performance, power consumption control, automotive-grade validation, and cost management. These advantages have led many OEMs and supplier partners to choose XMOTIVE’s automotive chips.
Regarding mass production progress, XMOTIVE’s M55H chip has already entered mass production in multiple vehicle models, with shipments reaching hundreds of thousands of units. In 2023, it ranked second in the domestic ADAS SoC market and achieved the fastest mass production timeline in the industry.
Currently, numerous mass production projects utilizing the M55/M76 chips are under intensive development, expanding into CMS, domain controllers for driving and parking, and mid-to-high-end smart driving systems. This year, XMOTIVE has also secured many new customers, including emerging automaker Leapmotor, domestic brand GAC Aion, and joint venture automakers. Mass production is progressing rapidly. In late September, the GAC Aion RT, equipped with XMOTIVE chips, launched for pre-sale with overwhelming response!
