Axera Founder Dr. Xiaoxin Qiu Delivers Keynote Speech at 2024 Tsinghua Automation Forum
The 2024 Tsinghua Automation Forum was recently held in Guangzhou. Organized by the Automation Department Alumni Association of Tsinghua University, the forum brought together approximately 200 alumni and industry leaders from academia and business to share latest research findings and future trends in their respective fields, and explore collaboration opportunities.
Dr. Xiaoxin Qiu, Founder and Chairperson of Axera and a 1985 graduate of the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University delivered a forward-looking keynote speech titled “Universally Accessible AI Reshapes the Physical World: New Opportunities in the Semiconductor Industry.” She emphasized that in the intelligent era, edge computing not only has the potential for widespread adoption but also ensures user data privacy and security. Innovation in edge and terminal intelligence presents a new development path for semiconductor companies. “As cloud-edge-terminal computing flourishes, the timing is perfect for developing new AI infrastructure,” she noted.
The Tsinghua Automation Forum, launched in 2016 by the department’s alumni association, aims to enhance alumni networking and promote university-enterprise cooperation by sharing cutting-edge developments across various fields.
